A Volunteer is someone who gives of their time and talents willingly to support the Port Hardy Hospital Auxiliary Society without payment or personal gain.

Volunteers are encouraged to learn and become familiar with our Mission, Goals and the volunteer work they will be participating in. A Volunteer accepts the Rules and Policies of the Organization. A Volunteer is willing to learn and work as part of a team under the direction of the Store Manager/Board of Directors. A Volunteer is required to have a high degree of professionalism and carry out instructions with respect, diligence, honesty and dignity.
All Volunteers are to complete an application form and read and follow the PHHAS Handbook. A criminal record check may be required. A $10 Membership Fee is paid on completion of the application and renewed annually. Proof of Vaccination status is required and must be provided to the Application Secretary while Island Health and Provincial Mandates are in effect.
All Volunteers will be given on the job training. Membership requires a minimum of 50 volunteer working hours per year. Hours worked will be recorded for our Port Hardy Hospital Auxiliary and forwarded to the BCAHA and Island Health for Recognition. ​
